Description of Hierarchy
• Levels of interaction and responsibilities.
State Director – Have Vision, Find Opportunities to make our teams more effective, Responsibly utilize resources, Collaborate with local campaigns, Give Direction to City Captains, responsible for enforcing code of conduct
City Captains – Responsible for all ground transportation logistics and supporter housing, communications, allocating resources for projects assigned by SD, collaborating with SD and local campaign, Responsible for frequent communication with all team leaders, responsible for enforcing code of conduct
Team Leaders - Responsible for discovering/reporting/assisting all things big and small to the city captain, continually giving their energy to the team, supporting the city captain in executing the objectives, keeping team on time schedules

Communications
• Text Blaster! Grant McLauglin, City Captain, Gerogia
• Verify cell numbers of all volunteers. Make sure they understand how we plan on utilizing cell phones as a tool in the field.
• Conference Calls
1. Leaders and City Captains to have a conference call with Obama Campaign Director.
2. City Captains to have conf call with Team Leaders and Obama Campaign Director.

Immediate tasks for Team Leaders – to be directed in a letter written by City Captains and signed by both State Director and City Captain.
• Need to make sure everyone has flight itinerary
• Work with City Captains to arrange / rearrange roommates

Flights
• Deadline to switch is Friday by 12:00 noon…after that, only cancellations which must be done by Sunday, 12 noon.
• Confirm each volunteer can be on the flight assigned to them.
• Make sure volunteers do not leave their (1) itineraries or (2) their ID’s at home. They need to bring both to the airport to check in for their flight.
• Emergency phone number 303-731-4795 is 24/7.


Morning “Check ins” and “Check outs” each day.
• Work with Coordinators on the ground to set up a consistent meeting place
• Have an agenda – let your team know when you need to be out
• Try to keep it brief – encourage people to keep their comments brief
• Read the room / Read the situation – when is it good to let people talk in detail overtime? When is it better to cut them off/ cut it short?

• You should have received a copy of the Indiana design prior to this conference
• Each city coordinator organizes. Balance: Time is ASAP but do not allow it to deter from you focus on the more important matters
